James has been working in the IT field since 1993 for companies such as IBM, MicroAge and Omega Legal Systems as well as consulting privately for small to medium sized businesses. Primarily serving Legal, Hospitality and professional clients, James has also serviced clients in the Retail and non-profit areas.
James holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and an Associates Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from ITT Technical Institute.
James also holds several current Microsoft Certified Professional certifications as well as the Cisco Certified Network Associate Credential (CCNA).
Past projects include;
- Network migration from Novell Netware to Microsoft NT server in a mid-sized law firm. At a later date this firm was also upgraded to Windows 2000 and most recently to Windows 2003 server. Later projects for the client included Server and networking hardware upgrades as well as remote access projects.
- Upgrade and stabilization of a Windows Small Business Server 2003 environment for a real estate appraisal firm.
- Deployment of Server Hardware and Small Business Server 2003 for a respected placement agency.
- Deployment of a wired and wireless internet access project for an established Phoenix area resort.
- Consultation on networking and remote access projects for the local chapter of a large charitable organization.
- Planning and deployment of a wireless access hotspot with authenticated access controls.

Here's an Example;
In the case of a law firm client, a changeover from the Netware to Microsoft network was implemented over a weekend without any disruption to work flow. Further complicating this ambitious project was the need to first recover the failed Netware server installation without access to viable backup media . All user resources and user settings were successfully duplicated in the new environment and the next business day all IT resources were available to users.
