Thank you for choosing Sentry Technical Consulting Services. The following agreement will serve as a statement of understanding between you (the customer) and Sentry Technical Consulting Services regarding services and policies in effect during any/all services rendered.
1. It is understood by both parties that Sentry Technical Consulting Services will make a “Best effort” to preserve customer data found on serviced equipment. Ultimately, it is the customer’s responsibility to preserve their own data and Sentry Technical Consulting Services shall be held harmless in the unlikely event of data loss during a service procedure on customer equipment. A “best effort” shall entail at minimum an attempt to back up the customer’s data before any service operations proceed. If customer equipment is in such a state to make this action impossible customer holds Sentry Technical Consulting Services harmless. Sentry Technical Consulting Services will inform the customer of this condition before executing any service procedure on customer equipment should this be the case.
2. Illegal materials found in the course of the repair operation. Any materials of an illegal or prohibited nature found on customer equipment during the course of a repair operation may be reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law. It is understood that Sentry Technical Consulting Services is not a representative of any law enforcement agency and should any lawful action be brought against the customer by law enforcement agencies, Sentry Technical Consulting Services shall not be held liable for any damages or losses as a result of such action. Examples of illegal materials would be but not limited to: Child Pornography, Stolen identity information and the like. In short if there any items on the customer equipment that would be questionable, the customer is advised to remove them before presenting the equipment for services.
3. Sentry Technical Consulting Services charges an in-house bench rate of $75.00 per hour for repair related services. Other services may be offered at “Flat” rates such as Virus and/or Spy Ware removal procedures. Any service not specifically offered as a “Flat” rate service is subject to the bench rate of $75.00. Payment in full is expected upon completion of services on customer equipment.
4. Sentry Technical Consulting Services policy on “abandoned” equipment. Any serviced customer equipment left for a period of 60 days or more without payment will be sold for the cost of repairs. Sentry Technical Consulting Services will considered customer equipment “abandoned” if we cannot contact or are not contacted by the customer after repairs are completed or during the course of a repair where customer authorization to proceed is required. This 60 day term begins upon initial presentation of customer equipment for service.
